Finding each other
Most households keeping Torah are the only such household in their county. That is the hardest part of this walk, and it is the part a website can actually do something about.
Everything else here is instrument. The teaching, the building library, the agricultural pages: they exist so that serious people show up, and so the people who show up are genuinely like-minded. This page is what they are for.
What is being built

Privacy and safety. Not negotiable.
This gathers a doctrinally distinct minority, many of whom have hostile families or employers, into a directory that touches physical location. Getting that wrong causes real harm to real households. So these rules are written down before the first member joins, not after an incident.
- Region-level location only. Never an address, never coordinates, never a precise map pin. County, or a radius from a town, at most.
- Contact through the platform first. No public email or phone. Members choose when to move off-platform, and when.
- The directory is members only and is never indexed by search engines.
- Opt in, off by default. Joining does not put you on the map. You have to ask to be there.
- Meet publicly first. Tell someone where you are going. Bring your spouse or a friend to a first visit at a stranger’s land.
- No information about children. Ever. No family compositions, no school details.
Rule 5 is asked of everyone, including people who have been here a long time. It is not an accusation. It is what sensible people do.
The ladder
Nobody goes from stranger to co-builder in one step. Each rung costs slightly more than the last, and most people stop partway. That is fine.
- Read the library.
- Post an introduction with your region.
- Document something you built or grew.
- Answer someone else’s question.
- Attend a work party or a Sukkot gathering.
- Host one.
- Build alongside another household.
Rung 5 is the one that matters. The first time people work together in person is the moment a website becomes a community, and nothing online substitutes for it.
The number that counts
Not members. Not traffic. Not subscribers.
Households who have physically worked alongside another household.
Twenty households who build together is total success. Twenty thousand readers who never meet is failure wearing better numbers.
